Well, for some reason, I've taken a turn for the worse. I can't work out why, but for the last week or so I've now got a horrible taste in my mouth. Sometimes feels rug-burned, but only a little (and moves around) but perhaps 75% of the day it tastes disgusting. This is worse than the rug-burn feeling - that I can ignore, this drives me bananas...
Anyone who's experienced this sort of set back so late on, please comment...

Imogina,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your setback, I too have taken a turn for the worse, however I am only at 4 months post-injury, and not pregnant. Can't think of any reason for it, really. Nothing much has changed, other than financial stress. I'm interested in knowing if anything gets you back on track. Hormones always make everything worse, too...ah the lucky charms of being female....(sarcasm)
I had that bad taste in the mouth thing but only for a few days; that left, and now I'm back to the stinging and burning. Headaches come and go without any real predictability...those are the worst. Can't work when those hit. So I try and get everything done on the days my head isn't pounding!
btw, re: bad taste, try gum (just suck if it hurts to chew), Halls Breezers dry mouth lozenges, or Bee M.D. honey drops. I am practically never without them any more.
ReplyDeleteAfter a not so great weekend, it seems to be better today. Less nasty taste, less weird sensations, although my lips are tingling a bit, which was a symptom I had early on but then it went away.
ReplyDeleteUgh this injury is so frustrating!
I'm seeing my GP tomorrow so perhaps he'll have some words of wisdom.
thanks for your reply - it's nice to know there's someone out there listening. My husband is completely out of helpful things to say, understandably.
